1L Job Fair.
17 of our Afro Scholars participated in our inaugural 1L Job Fair, sponsored by Kirkland and Ellis LLP, that gave first-year law students the opportunity to interview for 1L summer positions across various top law firms. Our Corporate Partners O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Mintz, and Sidley Austin LLP also participated in the fair and interviewed our students.
Through our inaugural Afro Scholars program, this Cohort received personalized mentorship from Kirkland & Ellis attorneys, career coaching and professional development tools from industry experts at Greiner Consulting Group, and recruiting opportunities at our corporate partners.
This year’s fair saw representation from 13 law schools and applications for our next Afro Scholar Cohort will open this Spring.
