Jeffrey Cole

Jeffrey is the Founder and Chairman of Afro Law and Afro Scholars. He founded the organization in July 2021 in collaboration with inaugural sponsors that included Kirkland & Ellis, Sidley Austin, Mintz and more. He holds a J.D. from Northwestern’s Pritzker School of Law and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. He is also a New York City native. Jeffrey’s background prior to law was in Management Consulting and Investment Banking. He remains passionate about assisting law students achieve their career goals.

Yewande Ford

Yewande joined the Advisory Board of Afro Scholars in the Spring of 2022 during our second cohort. She was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from Howard University in 2017 and went on to work at Goldman Sachs before earning her J.D. at The University of Virginia School of Law. She was the President of UVA Law’s BLSA Chapter and the Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology during her time there. She is passionate about helping diverse law students navigate and excel on their law school journey.

John Ferguson III (Trey)

John Ferguson III (“Trey”) joined the Advisory Board of Afro Scholars in the Spring of 2022 during our second cohort. A native of Nashville, TN, he graduated magna cum laude in Economics from Villanova University before matriculating as a JD/MBA student at Vanderbilt University. He currently serves as the Senior Notes Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review, and relishes every opportunity to help diverse students actuate their professional goals.

Tiffany Bullock

Tiffany serves as Director of Career Services. Tiffany is a justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and sustainability advocate dedicated to creating career pathways for people of color and women. Her work in diversity and professional development was inspired by her experience at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP where she actively participated in the firm’s diversity recruiting initiatives and in affinity groups supporting working parents, women, and Black lawyers. During Tiffany’s subsequent tenure at SEO Law, she developed partnerships and fellowship opportunities to support underrepresented law students and attorneys. Currently, she is a co-founder of WomenX where she works to create pathways for women to achieve personal agency over their education and careers, setting them on a personalized path to professional success and financial wealth. She holds a B.A. degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
